OUR HISTORY
Halfway between artistic craftsmanship and design , the Ateliers Clarisse Dutraive, based in Neuilly-Plaisance, have been designing and producing exceptional lighting and furniture in fused and thermoformed glass for individuals and decorators for over 20 years. and interior designers.
Entirely made in France, creations by Clarisse Dutraive are regularly exhibited at the Maison & Objet and Révélations trade fairs where they are noted as much for their artistic and technical qualities as for their timeless character.
These distinctions have allowed our workshops to establish a long-term partnership for more than 15 years with Roche Bobois , which exclusively markets the TWIN, CHARLESTON, RONDA and TOTEM collections in France and internationally.
CLARISSE DUTRAIVE
After training in art history at the Ecole du Louvre, Clarisse Dutraive quickly felt the need to create with her own hands through a craft activity. Passionate about color and light, she trained in multiple glass techniques by taking courses at ADAC (Paris-Ateliers). She quickly chose to specialize in the fused glass technique for the infinite possibilities this technique offers. Thanks to several internships in Germany at the Bohle Glass Academy and TGK GmbH , she perfected the techniques of fusing and screen-printed glass .
Today she has recognized technical mastery and artistic sense which she does not hesitate to make available to contemporary creation.
Committed to passing on her know-how, Clarisse regularly welcomes apprentices and trainees in training to her Workshops.
A FRENCH MANUFACTURE
All our lighting fixtures are designed, manufactured and assembled in France. Our workshops are surrounded by quality and trusted partners who share our values: that of demanding artisanal production, the result of careful work and great rigor.
Concerned about the longevity of her creations, Clarisse is fully aware of the importance of choosing the materials used, which she wants to be sourced and carefully selected.
Fully aware of environmental issues, its lighting fixtures use LED technology and largely recyclable or recycled materials for a long lifespan and reduced carbon impact. The interchangeability of our fuse glass diffusers and pendants is part of this eco-design vision.
As such, Clarisse Dutraive is recognized as an Artisan and member of the Ateliers d’Art de France .
A DESIGN TO LIVE
Much more than a beautiful creation, a work from the Ateliers Clarisse Dutraive is both ambitious and functional . Far from a simple decorative object, it is above all an object of art which is part of a French art of living and which skilfully combines aesthetics, attention to detail and know-how.
The creations of Ateliers Clarisse Dutraive stand out for their use of geometric shapes and lines, themselves softened by the choice of shades that are sometimes bright and rich, sometimes dark, but always intense and deep. Thanks to her theoretical training in art history, Clarisse freely draws her inspiration from the artistic movements of Art Deco, Futurism, Bauhaus and Modernism, to create unique and timeless works.
If the Ateliers specialize in the design of lighting, Clarisse does not restrict herself to one field and occasionally tries her hand at creating exceptional furniture or creating fused glass jewelry.
